With 30 years of experience, Bernadette has held executive leadership roles at Adecco and Lee Hecht Harrison, including sales, marketing and HR. Clients included General Electric, Bank of America, International Paper and other Fortune 500 companies. A certified career consultant, she is also experienced in the non-profit sector and its unique challenges.
Combining her broad skill set including a successful career in sales and sales leadership with executive coaching, Bernadette focuses her consulting in three main areas – executive and career coaching, sales, and marketing. She coaches clients to better personal selling skills, effectively identifying sales opportunities, target markets, and the importance of building long term relationships, critical in today’s fast paced and high tech marketplaces. She trains sales teams for most effective collaborative selling. For organizations that have identified leadership, retention or career management challenges, she provides executive coaching or workforce solutions strategies for maximum results.
Prior to consulting, Bernadette served as senior vice president of human resources for Adecco Group North America, a division of Adecco SA, the world’s largest staffing and workforce solutions company. Previously, she was executive vice president, chief global sales and marketing officer for Adecco’s subsidiary Lee Hecht Harrison, well known for its leadership in the outplacement field. She implemented strategic account development and led the expansion of LHH’s sales reach globally. She served as LHH’s chief operating officer, the industry’s first woman in such a senior role. She has consulted with Fortune 500 organizations and counseled senior executives.
TV and radio appearances have included Bloomberg, CNBC, and many regional radio networks.
Well known as a speaker and tier one media spokesperson on the issues of women in the workplace, the multigenerational workforce, career management, leadership and job transition, Bernadette has been a keynote speaker for major corporate and professional organizations. She is on the Board of the YWCA of White Plains and Central Westchester, and is a former Board member of The Business Council of Fairfield Country (SACIA). She is a Career Management Fellow of the Institute of Career Certification International. She holds a MBA and BA from Pace University.
